Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers

Air-cooled chillers reject heat through condenser coils and fans, usually on a roof or in a plant yard. In Riyadh's heat and dust, condenser coil condition and fan performance have a big effect on how well they cope with peak load.

Water-cooled chillers reject heat to a condenser water circuit and cooling tower. Faults can come from the chiller itself or from the condenser water side — tube fouling, flow problems or tower performance.
